Welcome to Oasis, a luxury beachfront estate on the pink sands of Double Bay Beach. You will often have this spectacular beach--wide, well protected by a barrier reef, and three miles long--entirely to yourself. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and spearfishing, right off the property.
After a day on the beach, enjoy a swim in our new 50-foot pool. You will have the luxury of complete privacy on our 2 ½ acre estate.
Inside, Oasis House features sweeping views throughout of the turquoise waters of the Atlantic. Tranquility is realized stepping into the living room, with its wall of big windows facing the sea. This room is furnished with a Rochebobois leather sofa, arm chairs, and a beautiful a Yamaha piano for those who can provide their own personal entertainment. There is also a powder room off the great room.
The dining area, with a solid granite dining table and seating for eight, also enjoys wall of windows looking out at the ocean.
Facing the great room is the fully equipped wet bar with two bar chairs and a generous amount of barware.
The luxurious kitchen, finished in granite and stainless steel, is equipped with kitchen utensils, pots, pans, bakeware, coffee maker, espresso machine, measuring utensils, mixing bowls etc. There is a juicer and a Kitchen Aid as well.
A laundry area with washer and dryer, utility sink, and storage, is directly off the kitchen.
One wing of Oasis House is devoted to the master suite, which is furnished with a king bed (with TempurPedic mattress) and also enjoys a sweeping ocean view. The luxurious en-suite bath is fully tiled throughout and features double sinks, a three-headed shower, and a soaker tub. There is also a separate office off the master with a WIFI-enabled printer for those who may need to do some work. It can also be used as a bedroom for a baby or a small child, if you bring a pack and play.
The other wing of the house, located on the other side of the living areas, has two bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with two full beds. These two bedrooms share a spacious fully tiled bath with double sinks, a walk-in shower, and a generous amount of storage. The king bedroom has an ocean view and direct access to the pool deck and an outdoor shower.
Outside is a 50’ swimming pool for lounging and socializing with family and friends. From there is a gentle walk down a landscaped yard to our spectacular beach.
Amenities at Oasis include WIFI, AC throughout, smart TVs in all bedrooms and the living room (two of which have Roku sticks), ceiling fans, gas grill, sea kayak, beach chairs, books and games, yoga mats, a whole-house back-up generator, and a complete back-up water system.
Governors Harbour, the main town on the island, is just 15 minutes by car from the property. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won’t want to miss it. The town of Palmetto Point, less than 10 minutes from the house, has several smaller stores and a good restaurant. There is a good grocery store, Midway Cost Cutters, just five minutes from the house.
