The Southern Belle Beach House is situated on a private ~2 acre lot directly across the street from one of the most breathtaking beaches in Exuma. The cozy villa style home has been remodeled from top to bottom, including new floors, cabinets, appliances, furniture, electronics and all.
The home is less than 2 miles from the airport, just a short taxi ride and you will be there. It sits on a private 2 acre lot at the corner of Moss Town Rd and Queens Highway. The home was built approximately 15 years ago, but has been gutted and completely remodeled between August of 2021 and February 0f 2023.
The home has a reverse floor plan architecture, with the kitchen, dining room, living room, and primary bedroom/bath on the second floor. The ground floor level of the house has a family style bedroom, with triple bunk beds and a queen bed with en-suite bathroom, and a standard room with an en-suite bathroom. Those two rooms are connected by a hallway that has a shared laundry room with coffee bar and mini-fridge for overnight items. There is also a purified water dispenser on that floor for both suites to share.
The unique architecture of this house is depicted by it’s name, the Southern Belle house. The structure reminds us of the 1800’s homes that you find in cities like Charleston, SC where you have outside staircases and each room as its own dedicated entrance to a shared outdoor corridor (covered deck in our case). Each room has it’s own entrance with a unique key for each lock, so everyone has their own room key for security and privacy purposes.
In the kitchen, we have installed all new appliances, cabinets, countertops, and a complete new modern layout. A huge island has been added (10ft x 3.5ft) with 5 barstools for additional seating with a beautiful custom “Exuma Blues” with white marble countertop. All new pots and pans, glassware, silverware, serving platters, kitchen utensils, towels, etc. A new Coffee Bar has been added with a Keurig Coffee Maker (plenty of Coffee Pods provided or bring your own) Everything is NEW in this room and every other room in the house.
In the Primary Bedroom, a brand new bathroom was constructed. It includes a wide single sink vanity and a custom tile shower with adjustable pattern head and handheld wand. The all new tile flooring is beautiful and the sliding barn door provides privacy. Behind that barn door (when closed) is a full length mirror. This room also includes a matching desk with drawers, a dresser with drawers, and armoire for hanging clothes. There is also a folding suitcase stand (like hotels provide) to help you unpack/pack your suitcase. A sliding glass door provides access to the rear deck and is uniquely keyed for that door if you choose to use it as an entrance.
On the lower floor, there are two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and the laundry room.
In the Family Bedroom, there is a Queen size bed along with a triple bunk bed. The triple bunk beds include two single beds on the bottom, and a twin mattress up top. This room also includes a desk, a dresser drawers, and an armoire. The queen bed also includes nightstands, and the bunk beds have built in storage at the foot of the bed. As a bonus, underneath the bottom bunks, there are 2 pillow top mattresses (playful, kids style with colorful scheme) for kids to sleep on the floor if desired. Technically speaking, this room could sleep 2 adults, and up to 6 kids (2 on the double mattress, 2 in bunks, and 2 on the floor). There is a television on the wall above the desk (not pictured) as well that has SmartTV features so you can use your Netflix, Disney+, or other subscription services.
The laundry room contains a brand new high efficiency full size front load washer and dryer (stacked), along with a 5 gallon purified water dispenser, a mini-fridge, a small Coffee Bar, an iron, ironing board, and a Dyson handheld vacuum for maintenance cleanup.
The second downstairs bedroom is very private and comfortable. Amenities include a King Sized Bed, all high quality linens, a brand new custom tile bathroom, flatscreen TV, a dresser drawers, armoire, and a dressing bench. A full length mirror is also present along with a suitcase stand to help you unload your luggage. Again, this room features an individually keyed sliding glass door for private entrance/exit and privacy.
The upper floor rear deck area includes 6 poly wood Adirondack chairs, a couch, two chairs, two ottomans, and two lounge chairs for relaxation. There is also a dining table with two benches that can be used for outdoor dining. A brand new stainless steel gas grill is also supplied for cookouts (one full propane tank is included with your stay).
For trips to the beach, the house includes a beach wagon (think large tires for rolling across the sand), along with 2 beach chairs, 6 beach towels, an rubber beach bag, an umbrella, and both a hard and soft sided cooler. There is also a water house on the front porch that you can use to wash off your feet and items when you return from the beach.
This 3 Bedrooms House provides accommodation with Entertainment, Child Friendly, Oceanfront, for your convenience. This House features many amenities for guests who want to stay for a few days, a weekend or probably a longer vacation with family, friends or group.
