Summary: The property is 300 years old, and the daily rate amongst the cheapest for the area…so expectations should be set accordingly. The good: spacious rooms and some off-street parking out front. Easy to find and very quiet (despite being on a main road). Great double-paned windows. Check-in was easy. While the bar doesn’t serve food, there is heaps of amenity nearby. This was a good launching spot to explore Bristol and Bath (train a 5-10 min walk). The not-so-good: The room was surface level clean…but smelled quite strongly of smoke, and the bathroom in need of some fit and finish.
