Summary: Due to incoming tropical storm our group of 8 was evacuated early from our catamaran in Abaco. We made it to Nassau and had to spend the night. The British Colonial had four rooms available for our group and we were pleased (it was off-season). The hotel is beautiful but if you don’t have an ocean view you look at a roof or McDonalds. The guest reception staff were excellent. The rain shower feature in the room was great. The bed was a little too soft. The pool looked lovely but pool bar service was just ok. No piña coladas at any bar on the property. Hotel location was great for a self-guided walking tour of downtown (found online). The London restaurant downtown was delicious for dinner and easy to walk to from the hotel. Not many options for breakfast outside of hotel. Hotel restaurant worked for breakfast. Taxi is easy to get to/from hotel/airport.
