Summary: The view of the the lake is stunning. The direct access to the lake is perfection for kids on a hot day. They loved being able to use the kayaks and paddle boards. The fishing off the dock is fabulous! It truly is picturesque. However, we were not prepared for the smell of the water indoors. I'm very experienced with the smells of well water, but this was like nothing I've ever experienced. There is sign in the bathroom that states "The smell of sulphur may be noticed from time to time." It's consistent every time you run water from a faucet. I think knowing in advance and preparing yourself for the smell will make the overall stay more pleasant.Overall, the cottage is super quaint and charming. And again, the VIEW is just stunning. But prepare yourselves for the very strong smell of rotten eggs when showering.
