Summary: Firstly, Vrbo stated that the unit is located in Jubilee Subdivision. After paying through the website, Theresa immediately sent the location and her contact which was great. However, the unit was not in Jubilee Subdivision . This was not a major problem as the neighborhood was nice. I requested an early check in because I wanted to surprise my guest by decorating the room. However, she did not agree & instantly said no. Upon arrival, I was very disappointed in the state of the unit. The bathroom was extremely small and only had a shower. What I disliked most was that the sink was in the actual area of the bedroom. Also, there is no kitchen space. Guest do not have a designated parking. You have to park on the side of the street. Saturday morning we woke up and there was no running water. Theresa has a lot of rules that she expects guest to follow. While checking in she required my assistance with removing the bedspread as we were not allowed to lay on it. She also insisted that we turn off the air-condition each time we leave the unit. The pool is only accessible until 10:00 PM. I explained to Theresa that the unit was not what I expected and that I was not comfortable. She agreed to have us move downstairs to another unit the following day for an additional fee. She also stated that we can get a refund and leave. We did not want to deal with the headache of looking for a new place so we opted to move downstairs the next day. I thoroughly explained that we would be out and not return until later that evening. I asked if we could deal with moving when we returned. She agreed to this. Later Saturday afternoon, Theresa sent me voice notes on whatsapp and called to explain that she could not accommodate our request to move to another unit as we were not packed. She along with another person visited our unit without us being present. She was rather rude, aggressive, & very unpleasant. This encounter ruined our activities for that day as we were very frustrated and annoyed after the conversation with Theresa. I must mention that Theresa is responsive but is very abrupt. However, her husband greeted us with a smile and assisted with our luggage. Overall, I would not recommend Cocoplum Rest N Hideaway #2 to anyone.
